Course Structure

Week 1: Fundamentals of Planetary Transits (Gochar)

  • What is Gochar?

  • Difference between transit and natal chart analysis.

  • Types of planetary transits:

    • Fast-moving planets (Moon, Mercury, Venus, Sun).

    • Slow-moving planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu, Ketu).

  • Basic rules for Gochar interpretation:

    • From Lagna (Ascendant).

    • From Moon Sign (Chandra Lagna).

Week 2: The Ecliptic and the Zodiac

  • The Ecliptic: Path of the Sun as seen from Earth.

  • The Zodiac: Division into 12 Rashis (signs).

  • Fixed vs. Movable Zodiac

  • Understanding the relationship between Nakshatras and the zodiac belt.

Week 3: Analyzing Transits of Major Planets (Outer Plantes)

  • Jupiter (Guru): Expansion, growth, and opportunities.

    • Key transits (e.g., Jupiter in the 2nd house for wealth growth).

  • Saturn (Shani): Challenges, discipline, and karmic lessons.

    • Understanding Sade Sati and Dhaiya (Saturn's 2.5 years).

  • Rahu and Ketu: Transformation, confusion, and spirituality.

  • Effects of planets retrograde motion in transit.

Week 4: Combining Gochar with Dashas

  • Understanding Dashas as the internal time clock and Gochar as external triggers.

  • Timing significant events by combining transit influences with Mahadasha and Antardasha.

Week 5: Special Transit Rules and Yogas

  • Transits over natal planets:

    • Conjunctions: When a transiting planet joins a natal planet.

    • Aspects: Planetary influence from specific angles.

  • Transits over key points:

    • Lagna degree, Moon degree, bhav-madhya and 10th house.

  • Formation of specific yogas during transits (e.g., Gajakesari Yoga, Saturn-Jupiter conjunctions).

  • Step-by-step guide to analyzing current transits:

    • Identifying key planetary movements.

    • Mapping them onto a natal chart.

  • Real-life examples of significant transits (e.g., Saturn entering Aquarius).
